Workshops and Play Groups:
Each class will last one hour and costs $30. Space is limited, so please call or email asap to reserve your spot. 🙂
Puppy Kindergarten Play Group (1 hour, bring your dog): Tuesday, 10/2 at 7 pm
Bring your new puppy to Barley’s to start them off on the right paw! Based on the AKC Puppy Star course, this class provides a whole lot of play time and socialization, with a little bit of training too. Puppies from 5-9 months of age are welcome to come, socialize, and learn how to play with other dogs under the supervision of our trainers!
Nervous Nelly Play Group (1 hour, bring your dog): Monday, 10/8 at 7 pm
Calling all shy dogs! In our Nervous Nelly playgroup, you will find ways to build confidence in your dog in order to draw them out of their shells and learn how to socialize safely in a controlled environment. From calming techniques to fun ways to build confidence and trust- you and your dog will leave with the tools to enhance your bond!

Loose-Leash Walking Workshop: Saturday, 10/13 at 12:15pm
Learn the tricks of the trade to help your dog walk more politely on leash! In our one hour Loose-Leash Walking Workshop, you will explore different “power steering” options that work for your dog and leave with a better loose-leash walker!
Ask the Trainer (1 hour, bring your dog): Saturday, 10/13 at 1:30pm
Take advantage of our one hour trouble-shooting session with Tanja. Where you get to work on any training or behavioral challenges you are facing – from potty training to counter surfing and everything in between. You bring the problem, she’ll provide the solution!
Pool Manners Workshop: Saturday, 10/20 at 11am-12 PM
Does your dog lose his mind when it is time to swim at Barley’s? Don’t worry, you’re not alone! Come to this workshop and work on your dog’s pool manners to make swimming at Barley’s an even more enjoyable experience!

Pet First Aid/CPR: $150

Barley’s is proud to introduce Pet First Aid and CPR training! We all know our pets count on us to keep them safe and that is why this class is perfect for all pet owners! The training is taught by lecture, demonstration and hands-on skill practice. Some of the topics highlighted in the four-hour program include Restraining Your Pet, Pet CPR, Rescue Breathing, Choking Management, Wellness Assessment, Heat Injuries, Poisoning, Bleeding Protocols, Bites, Stings and Injury Assessment

Barley’s new Board and Train program
Going on a trip and want us to train your dog at the same time? Barley’s is now offering Board and Train options!
While you are away, your dog will reside in the home of our certified trainer, Tanja, and her pack. During the stay, your dog will learn basic manners and obedience through the use of positive reinforcement based training. You will receive a daily report card of what your dog has accomplished, daily training lessons for your dog, written notes for all commands taught to your dog, and a follow-up training session when you pick your dog up so we can train you!
Our positive reinforcement training method is fast, effective, and transfers well from the trainer to you.
Special pricing through the end of the year!
Puppy Board and Train (for dogs up to 9 months) $100 per night, 4 night minimum (2019 rate is $125 per night)
Adolescent Dog Board and Train (for dogs 9 moths to 2 years) $120 per night, 4 night minimum (2019 rate is $135 per night)
Adult Dog Board and Train (for dogs over 2 years of age) $120 per night, 4 night minimum (2019 rate is $135 per night)
Special Needs Board and Train (for dogs with severe behavioral or aggression issues) $200 per night, 4 night minimum (2019 rate is $225 per night)
