Welcome to Barley's!

Barley’s Canine Recreation Center offers an indoor swimming pool, active day care, specialized training classes, in home dog sitting and specialty retail to the Wasatch Front. We are centrally located on the eastern side of Salt Lake City, right off the 2300 East exit on I-80.

Barley’s Closing Announcement:

Dear Clients,

Thank you so much for your loyalty to Barley's.  We have been in business for almost 12 years and your support has meant the world to us.  Due to unexpected increases in expenses and a slowing revenue base, we regret to inform you that Barley's will be closing its doors on 4/15/26. 

We are saddened by the decision as it was an extremely difficult one to make, and realize the challenges this will cause for our clients and staff.  Making dogs happy has always been our main goal and we did that (and did it well!) as long as we possibly could.  There are a lot of households feeling a squeeze financially right now and small businesses are no different. Please continue to support your local small businesses as much as you can.  

Please NOTE:  We will continue to sell prepaid packages at the listed price for a limited time. Each prepaid package will expire on April 15, 2026, regardless of when purchased.

 ***Please be aware that any unused amount will not be refunded and you will forfeit the remainder***

Additionally, beginning February 1, 2026, we will no longer be selling the 20 packs for prepaid packages.  All packages purchased after this date will be 10 packs or 5 packs, available for a limited time. 

Beginning March 1, 2026, we will no longer be selling the unlimited monthly swim and daycare packages.

***If there is concern about not being able to redeem prepaid passes prior to April 15th, please purchase day passes instead***

All Gift Cards will expire on April 15, 2026 as well.

We are extremely grateful for the memories and relationships we have built over the years and will miss our clients and furry friends more than you could ever imagine.
