Come Meet the Trainers!
Thursday, January 5th from 5-7pm, Barley’s 3 trainers, Suzy, Leslie and Tanja, will be in the lobby ready to answer any questions you have, help you pick the right dog training class, and just simply be there to introduce themselves to you! All clients who come down and sign up for any upcoming class, workshop, private training, or seminar will receive 10% off their purchase this night only!
UPCOMING SEMINAR!
-Feliz Naughty Dog Seminar: Tuesday, December 20th at 7:30pm. Learn how to prep your home, your dog, and your family for the holidays including tips for arriving guests and dinner time behavior! Well behaved dogs on leash are welcome. Seminar is FREE!
UPCOMING CLASSES!
-Puppy Kindergarten: Tuesday nights at 7:30pm starting January 10th. This is a new class for Barley’s based on AKC Puppy Star with a whole lot of playing and socialization, and a little training too. Puppies up to 6 months of age are welcome to come, socialize, and learn how to play with other dogs under the supervision of our trainer, Suzy. Because this is an ongoing class, prices vary: $12.50 to pre-pay up to the day before, or you can purchase a 4 week pass at $40.
-Puppy 1st Grade: Wednesdays at 7:30pm starting January 11th. Puppy 1st Grade is for all puppies up to 6 months old. Similar to Puppy Kindergarten but with a lot more training and a little less playing. Puppies will be taught basic obedience skills by Suzy such as sit, down, loose leash walking, etc. This class will also cover puppy specific issues like potty training and crate training. $125 for 5 weeks.
-Puppy 2nd Grade: Thursdays at 7:30pm starting January 12th. For puppies 6 months old up to a year. 2nd Grade will run the same as 1st Grade, but for the older puppies. Class will cover basic obedience skills such as sit, down, loose leash walking, etc. And will also cover puppy specific issues like name recognition and crate training. $125 for 5 weeks.
-Basic Obedience: Saturdays at 9am, starting January 7th. For dogs 1 year and up. Basic obedience is new and improved with new Barley’s trainer Tanja teaching the class. Basic obedience will cover everything your dog needs to be the best they can. Sit, down, stay, loose leash walking, recall, and more! $125 for 5 weeks.
-Canine Good Citizen Prep Class: Saturdays at 11am, starting January 7th. For dogs 1 year and up. We are happy to start offering a class that will help you and your dog prepare to take the Canine Good Citizen test, or the CCG. Tanja will be teaching the class, and will be there every step of the way to help turn you and your dog into an unstoppable team! Evaluations will be held on the 5th week of classes for those who are ready to test. $125 for 5 weeks.
UPCOMING WORKSHOPS!
-Focus on Me Workshop: Saturday, January 7th at 2pm. Come learn how to teach your dog to focus on you instead of paying attention to other distractions. $25 per dog.
-Reactive Dog Workshop: Saturday, January 14th at 2pm. Does your dog bark at other dogs or people when they’re on leash? Are they just so excited to see other dogs or people they won’t listen to you or stay with you? This workshop is all about learning how to handle your dog when they are lunging and barking at other dogs instead of walking with you. $25 per dog.
-Recall 2.0 Workshop: Saturday, January 21st at 2pm. Teach your dog how to come to you, every time, even with high distractions! Recall 2.0 is building on your dog’s current recall, and adding in a lot of distractions to teach your dog that you are more exciting than whatever else is around. $25 per dog.
-4 on the Floor Workshop: Saturday, January 28th at 2pm. Compulsive Jumpers wanted! 4 on the Floor aims to teach your dog how to greet people politely with their feet on the floor, instead of on the guests. Learn to create boundaries with your dog, and teach them a proper greeting. $25 per dog.
