Hello Friends,
We hope you are all hanging in there, doing as well as humanly possible and enjoying some of this lovely Spring weather we are experiencing! Now that Millcreek City is considered a ‘yellow’ risk area, we are going to begin allowing open swimming sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting this week. Here are some details on the new process:
The open swim sessions will go from 5pm-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Regular open swim prices and packages apply and will be good for up to an hour per swim
Unlimited open swim passes are also good for an hour during the open swimming sessions and will not count against the 1 reserved swim session per week (one 30 minute private session per week is still an option, in addition to attending the open swimming sessions)
Please call us at 801-467-6069 or send us an email to [email protected] to get your name listed for the open swim sessions so we can eliminate having people wait in the lobby
One handler per dog is allowed, with a limit of 4 people in the pool area. At this time, please do not bring extra people with you
Please wear masks and keep at least 6′ from any other humans
The pool area and toys will be disinfected before and after each open swimming session
Give us a call when you arrive to the parking lot so we can check you in over the phone and give you the ‘ok’ to enter through the pool door.
The pool will remain open by reservation only on Saturdays from 10a-2p and from 11a-7p on weekdays (with the exception of Tues/Thur from 5-7p). Please call us or shoot over an email to schedule your lucky pup for a 30 minute swim.
Daycare will continue to stay closed on weekends throughout June but we promise we will keep you posted on any changes to our schedule in the near future. If you are interested in getting your dog back on a regular daycare schedule for Monday-Friday, please let us know as soon as possible as the days are beginning to fill up again. 🙂
If you would like to check on, cancel or add any future appointments just let us know, as this will help us with our staffing arrangements. Please give us at least 24 hours notice to cancel any appointments.
Here is a reminder about the pandemic protocol that has been implemented at Barley’s, with a few updates. We believe these precautions, if followed appropriately, will keep the Barley’s staff and clients safe from risk of infection:
Absolutely do not bring your dog to Barley’s if you are experiencing any signs or symptoms of a cold or flu. Please call or email to reschedule or cancel your appointments as soon as symptoms occur.
Wear a mask for all daycare drop offs/pick ups as well as pool visits.
Keep at least 6’ away from all employees and other clients at all times.
All check-ins, checkouts and payments will be handled over the phone by credit card only. No cash for now please.
Swimming Pool: The pool area, including the toys, will be sanitized before and after each swim appointment. Please bring your own toys if you prefer. If you would like to purchase a pool toy, please let us know.
Reception: The lobby is open but we would prefer to continue to bring daycare dogs in and out from the parking lot. If you need to come inside, please wear a mask and keep at least 6′ away from other humans.
Doggy Daycare: If you are comfortable with a Barley’s employee taking the leash from you, just let us know. Otherwise, there are two drop off stations along the railing next to the potty patch in front of the entrance. They are marked. When you arrive, please attach your dog’s leash to the carabiner and a Barley’s employee will come out to bring your dog inside. The used carabiner will be disinfected after each use. Please call when you arrive if there is not a Barley’s employee already outside waiting. If you wish to stay in your car, we can send a Barley’s employee out to you. In this case, please let us know when you arrive and we can send an employee out to get them safely inside. All dog lunches have been suspended until further notice so please do not bring food or treats for your dog at this time.
Everyone is experiencing a different level of protection and fear around this virus so please remember to be respectful and courteous to each other. Please let us know if there are any additional precautions or accommodations that are needed for you at this time.
Thank you so much for your cooperation, patience and understanding while we find our way through to the new normal. We’re doing all we can to keep Barley’s a safe and fun place for everyone and appreciate all your support through this challenging time.
